I have often pinched myself to make sure my life it real. Sure there are days and times that I think ahhh if I just had a break..or I feel so un-apprecaited for all that I do....the list goes on and on. Somedays it is so overwhelming to take care of 4 kids and still work 25 hours a week. But not just taking care of kids...this includes volunteering at the school, driving everwhere,church callings...it sometimes feels like the weight of the world is heavy on your shoulders. Well lately...maybe its the coldness outside.. :( boo..I have been feeling down. I came home from girls night. My friends and I meet every monday night to chit chat eat snacks and when Bachelor is on we watch it. Its not the show we meet for...but the therapy of just being together as friends and laughing so hard we have tears falling across our cheeks. Talking with one another about our burdens and helping lift eachother up to find the postive and help one another!! I couldn't last without it!!

I got home late last night and I had been telling Cash the other night "I wish you had a FB account so you could send me messages of love on my wall" He chuckled but said nothing more. It is not often as many peopple know that Cash "expresses" his feelings in words. But rather in actions. He will help me with the dishes and getting the kids ready for bed..He is there if I ask. But sometimes I feel concerned and begin to think does he really love me...(DORK) I know. I know he loves me
SO this note was posted for me on our kids art easel when I walked in the door last night. I don't know if he will ever truely understand just how much the words he posted meant to me. I feel so blessed to have married such a thoughtful guy. My heart is so full and I feel so blessed. I married into a wonderful family as well. I love each person so very much~
I LOVE YOU CASH..Please don't be mad at me for posting this. I am a sentimental person and now I will save this in a book to remember for years and years to come!!

A Kener Christmas Story

Christmas again came and went....so sad. I love Christmas time! This year it fell on a Sunday so we got to go to Church Christmas morning.After we saw what Santa brought and opened presents. We got ready for church in our new Christmas outfits. We went to our old ward in Copper Creek with our good friends Jen and Kelly and their family! We went there because church was at 9am. Afterwards we went to Grandma and Grandpa Rappleye's house...the kids were so spoiled as well as Cash and I. We got to eat the traditional yummy breakfast and filled our tummies. Then we opened presents!!
After that, we went to Grandpa Kener's house. We were greeted with yummy sandwiches and treats and we had fun laughing and visiting. Then we headed over to Grammies to visit and open more gifts. It was such a fun day! I love spending the whole day with family! There is nothing better!!

Kylee had her semi-annual gymnastics performance. It was a crazy night and it was late at 8pm. We forgot the camera!! AGh she did amazing though. She did 5 backhandsprings in a row!!! We are so dang proud of her!!
Cambree had her very first performance in the studio! She is growing and getting stronger by leaps and bounds! She is the tiniest of the bunch and so cute!

The girls just started dancing at Maximum Dance!! I am so excited! I have to admit it is so much fun to watch their confidence soar as they dance on stage!! They are both so dang beautiful I have to pinch myself! I feel so blessed to call them my daughters!! I am so proud of them I have to mention that when Cambree got all dressed up in her outfit she looked at Kylee and said " I look prettier then you" I have to humble that girl!! But then again it probably is tough to be the younger sister and always feel like you are in a shadow..I hope she never feels like that!! Cambree's dance was 2nd and it was "up on the housetop" I was so proud of her. She didn't even get scared!! Kylee did two dances. One was a jazzy number...in which she got to do a round off back handspring in...Go Kylee she did awesome! The next was a hip hop dance...she did awesome...best time I had seen her do it!! It was a hard dance.

Thanksgiving

so no pics!! My bad, but Thanksgiving this year we ate at Grandma and Grandpa's house around noon and then rested. Then we had a second dinner at Aunt Jani's house with Grammy!! It was such a fun day to spend with family!! I love this time of year spending time with those we love so much! I feel so blessed to have them in my life!!

Halloween 2011

This year I had some fun and dressed up as Snow White...loved being a princess!!(Thanks Jani) My sis in law made this costume and let me borrow it. She is amazingly talented at making costumes!
Cody was the hand me down pumpkin costume. Cambree dressed as Tiana from "princess and the frog" (thanks Grandma) Kylee was Rapunzel and Carter was an Army dude!!
Cash was himself! :)
This year Cash took all the kids trick or treating. After about 30 min he came home and said the kids were saying Cody was slowing them down. Hahah so Cody and I stayed and passed out candy. He got a kick out of seeing all the visitors come to the door.
The kids and Cash all returned home after about an hour.
Fun fun times!!

One of our favorite things to do at Halloween time is pumpkin carving. Now that the kids are a little older its even more fun! Carter and Kylee carved their own...completely on thier own! I was impressed!! We helped Cambree and Cody of course. ":)

A trip downtown to the LDS Church History Museum!

Our kids have been off track so my friend Jen J. And I decided to take trax downtown..its now in Daybreak..Yay!! We traveled down to see the Church History Museum. It was a lot of fun!! The kids had a blast! Getting all of our kids to sit still for a picture was impossible...between the two of us we have 8 kids now!! It's quite the excursion!! Making magnet quilts on the wall! Fishing on Nephi's Boat! Abridging the Book of Mormon! Building Stone Towers! I am not entirely sure what this was...an area where you can dance in a mexican fiesta!! It was fun though..Mom (me) got into the action and danced with the girls!! Haha!! It was actually quite contagious...I could do that everyday! Fire-Truck! Saying Goodbye...Cambree lynn was about done! :) stinker! She had a minor tantrum spell

Tadjee came into town and we went to see the witches with her and Aunt Jani! I did not realize it was witches night out so it was a little bit crowded. We still had tons o' fun. Afterwards we went to eat us some yummy dinner at Kimmie's burger "AKA Arctic Circle" where we had hamburgers and yummy shakes. We had so much fun!! Love you auntie Jani and Cuz Tadja!! The kids had a blast!!

My friend Whitney and I got discount tickets to Cornbelly's. Since the kids are off track all of them got to go it was funner then I thought. And the discount just made it that much sweeter!!

Cody's Birthday

I know the post is old but we did celebrate his birthday!!
Cody turned two on August 29th!
We did just a family night! We went to Boondocks to play games then came back for presents and cake and ice-cream!! Cody is so loved and we cannot believe how fast time goes. Usually by now we have another baby on the way. It has been really fun to just enjoy him as a toddler and chase him around. He sure keeps us busy. I would like to add he is still not sleeping through the night (stinker!) he still needs a sippy and a binky. I think we just don't want him to grow up!

He had neighbors and family show lots of love by giving gifts and phone calls! It was so neat. Grammy also did a party for him and his uncles the sunday before his birthday! He loves cake and "alloons!" (balloons)

On a side note...a few days later cody kept going outside in the backyard and yelling. I could not figure out what he was doing. I finally stepped out there and saw a bunch of smiley balloons floating away to heaven. He was so sad they did not come back. Now when he sees something in the sky he says "Balloon" and points to it! Silly little stinker!

Now that the kids are in school all day. In the afternoons while Cody is napping Cambree and I get some one on one time. It has been fun. Usually by now at this age in my kids lives I have either been ready to pop again with another baby or have a newborn baby to take care of. Its a whole different world to me right now.

So we sat on the porch the other day eating our snow cones. Cambree looks at me and says " Mom, do you know how pretty you are?" It makes me smile because I say that ALL THE TIME to my girls. I want them to know how beautiful they are. It was cute. I said oh thanks Cambree but you are so beautiful. She said "I know Mom but you are pretty too." Awe so cute.

Then she told me her stomach was Grabbeling. She said that is what her tummy does when she is hungry.

I said I love you Cambree and she smiles and says "I love Daddy" I said oh you don't love me? She said yea "I love you but I love Daddy more." It does not bother me because I want my daughters to have a close relationship with their daddy. What a great role model he is of a wonderful husband. He is my best friend and I think she see's that.

Anyway just thought I would share a few tender moments!

Back to School!

Carter is now in 3rd Grade...halfway through elementary already....He is doing so well in school! We are so proud of him!

Kylee just started 1st grade...7 hours of school. It is so hard for me when my babies get bigger and leave me all day. I cried on her first day it was very hard to leave her. She has adjusted well and is reading really great!

Cambree is entering her last year of preschool....it kills me to think someday she will be in school all day too...it seems too unfair they have to grow so fast!! She got to bring a friend her first day!

The UP House

We heard about this cute little house that was re-made to look identical to the UP house..its incredible. We didn't get to see the inside just peeked into the windows but even the front room has the same fireplace and picture above the mantel it was awesome. I don't think I could ever buy a house like that but it would be fun to play in!

This last picture cracks me up. Cambree's skirt is on backwards and Carter looks like he is dying trying to hold onto Cody hahaha

Every night for the past few months she has prayed to Heavenly Father that it would be her Birthday in July. When we told her that it was her birthday soon she said no its not July...I said oh well when is July...she said Mom July is in August duh..!

I love love this special little girl. She takes after her dad in so many ways. She does have her meltdowns and she hates to be around too large of a crowd. But she has such a sweet sincere side and when she trusts you she really trusts and loves you!

Im happy to report that last time she had gotten weighed she has almost gained 10 lbs this year. The Dr says her height will eventually catch up with her weight. With daily use of Steriod and Asthma treatment we have finally been able to help her with her health and gaining some weight. Its hard for me to think about when she was a baby and how she was and not get choked up.

For her Birthday this year she wanted to go swimming so we went to the Rec Center in Herriman and then later out to dinner and took her to the store to pick out a gift. She got the tangled doll, and a fur real pet. Then we went home and had Cake. When we got home JaNece and Whitney both had gotten her a gift (a tinkerbell doll, and strawberry shortcake) it meant so much to her. The next night Grammy and Jani came to visit her. She sure is loved! Did I mention I cannot BELIEVE SHE IS ALREADY 4?

Backyard Campout!

Normally in July its HOT sleeping outside but this year it was PEERFFECT!
I slept GREAT! Cash stayed inside with Cody. Carter, Kylee, Cambree and I all slept outside. It was so peaceful I love sleeping outdoors. There was some lightening that kept me awake for a little bit I was worried we would get rained on but luckily no rain!

I have to add that I am now the master at setting up and putting down this tent (im so proud) :)

For breakfast I wanted to make a big one with all the fixens but the kids wants cold cereal instead (go figure)

Anyone who knows my Carter knows that he LOVES him some fireworks! I actually think he loves the 4th of July pretty much as much as Christmas!
We were invited to go celebrate at Grandma and Grandpa Rappleye's House! Billy and Jamie were there with their kids cute Zack, Parker and Brady. Then my Mom and Dad's friends Nancy and Leo and their grandson.

We had to end early due to the high winds and storm blowing in. When we got home our neighbors had all purchased BIG fireworks so we got to enjoy even more of a firework show. I think Carter thought he had died and gone to heaven!
Cody was a bit scared it is funny that they are brothers! Im sure in time it will change and he will love them just as much!

Sorry Im a dork I always grow my hair then cut it short...it gets so thick it takes at least 20 min to blow dry and heaven forbid if I air-dry it looks awful!
So right with Cody and the kids being so busy who has time to do all the fixing with the hair!
I actually love this hair do so far its my favorite!! I love it short and dark like Edna on the incredibles j/k hahaha

Lava Hot SpRiNgS

We had the chance to travel to Lava Hot Springs the End of June..I know my post is a little late (sorry)
We were able to bring our cute Niece Tadja along. We traveled with our closest neighbors and had so much fun! We had lots of laughs and yummy food! We are so fortunate to live in such a fun neighborhood with lots of close friends. There were a total of 5 other families that went camping with us.
We camped at a KOA, the only hard thing it was located right next to a very rapid river so we had to keep a very close eye on busy Cody. It was great though the kids all slept good the last night we were even able to stay up late and play games. Our Little Tadjee is all grown up. She leaves for college this fall and we wanted to spend some time with her before she has to go. Its hard to believe how fast she has grown. She is such an amazing and loving example to our family our kids really admire and look up to her.

Carter is on the Rookie team...each year he has gotten better and better. I have been reasurred that it's normal at this age to get distracted easily during the game. Its so fun to go watch him play and make new friends. His coach this year was so great getting all the boys to really not just play but learn to love the game!!

Kylee is loving gymnastics. She has been going to Jolley's for a couple years now!! It is crazy to me that when she first started she wasn't even able to do a cartwheel. Now she does back walkover, front walkover, she can do a round off triple back handspring and standing back handspring...she is awesome!! She really has a knack for it and loves going and learning new tricks!

Cambree is almost 4!! It makes me crazy how fast time goes!! She just completed her first year of preschool!! Her teachers are amazing and Cambree just loves them. Its the same preschool that Carter and Kylee both attended. She did a little song performance. Then they asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up...she said "a princess"

I am finally getting around to updating!
Easter this year Carter woke up at 4am!! Yikes. We made him go back to bed...that silly kid. The Easter Bunny came!! He brought the kids each a small toy and some "goodies"

Afterwards we tried to get a family picture before heading out to church. The funny part is we tried to get a picture of just the kids...Cody kept trying to run off. Cambree kept lifting up her dress. Carter grabbed Cody to hold him and Cody headbutted Carter so this is the picture we got. Carter was trying not to cry...ahh the joys!! It was pretty comical!

I am going to Marry Daddy!

The other day I was cleaning out the closet the girls were both with me. I pulled out my wedding dress. Kylee looked at me and said "mom that dress is pretty, are you and daddy going out on a date?"
I laughed and said no honey this is my wedding dress. This is the dress I was married to your dad in.

Cambree then says..."oh no fair! I want to marry daddy!"
I said well if you marry daddy then who can I marry...without hesitating she says "Santa Claus" HAHA I laugh. I said okay well then who is Kylee going to marry? She looks at me and says "Justin Bieber" I say ooh I see.
Okay well then who is Carter going to marry. She says "The girl Santa Clause in the pink clothes." HAHA I said okay well then who is Cody going to marry? She hesitates this time to think and says..."Ummm...The girl Justin Bieber?" HAHA Can I just say I love the innocence! It was so funny!! Both of their comments were so sweet. I had to write it to remember someday!

Baptism Day

We were so full of mixed emotion Happy,nervous a little sad because he is already 8 and excited!!...it was such an incredible experience watching Carter get baptized. Then sunday he got up to bear his testimony in sacrament and he was not nervous at all to proclaim his feeling of knowing this church is true! I have no doubt in my mind that he will one day make an incredible missionary! Oh how we just love this kid!
For his baptism we were first at 9am. Kylee, Cambree Avery and I sang I am a child of God. Afterwards we had yummy lunch and Carter got to play with his friends and cousins!! It was such an incredible day and it turned out just perfect!

My cute friend/neighbor JaNece took these pictures of Carter at no charge!! Thanks JaNece!! I think they turned out fabulous...granted I am biased because he is my son. He would not let me help him get dressed and when he came out of his room with his suit on he just took my breathe away! I cannot believe how grown up and handsome he looked. It brought tears to my eyes!! I just cannot believe he is already 8 and getting baptized! If only time would slow down for a second. Here are just a few of the pictures she took! We love you Carter!

I cannot believe Carter is turning 8! It seems like just yesterday we were holding him for the first time in our arms!! For Carter's 8th Birthday he got to have a friend party. The party was hosted at a place called Airborne Trampoline Arena in Draper. This place is filled almost wall to wall with Trampolines...it was really fun. We ate yummy pizza and had cake!! Lots of laughs and fun! PERFECT place for a group of 6-8yr old BoYz!!!

Kylee Bug's 6th Birthday

6yrs ago I held the most beautiful brown eyed baby girl for the first time! Kylee is such a sweet heart! She has always been the sweet little girl with the big brown eyes. Cash and I still remember at night holding her as a baby and she would stare up at you in the dark with those beautiful brown eyes!!
For Kylee's Birthday this year we celebrated as a family. It was Monday so Cash was home from work. She started the day by waking up and finding the house decorated and a few presents waiting for her. She got some new clothes and an outfit for her Doll.

Then the kids were off to school. Mom surprised Kylee with sprinkled cookies at school for her class. We then left and checked Carter out of school early to come play with us!! We drove to the new Herriman Rec center to go swimming...well it had just opened and look really crowded so we left and drove up to South Jordan's pool. That one turned out to be closed...the kids were bummed and it seemed our plans were failing. So we drove back out to Herriman and despite being extremely crowded we went swimming for almost 2hrs and had sooo much fun!!

After swimming we came home and took naps then headed to Olive Garden for some yummy dinner!! "Kener party of 6!"

After dinner we went to Target and let our Kylee bug pick out a present. She decided to get another doll (go figure! :) )
We rented Megamind from Redbox and watched it in the theatre room, and had yummy cake and ice cream! Please don't judge my cake...I believe a cake is for eating and should not take longer to make a cake then to eat it ;)

We had such a fun day!!We are soooo blessed to have this beautiful Kylee spirit in our home! We love her so much!

My kids were off track so I decided this was a great time to go to Classic. They have been begging to go. They have a Mom's club where you get to bring Scooters and anything you want to use to boogy on the skate floor. The kids loved it! They also have bouncehouses and a jungle gym to climb in. It was so much fun!

An overnight getaway!!

Cash and I recently spent a night at the Anniversary Inn in Logan!
It was sooo nice to getaway and get a full uninterrupted nights sleep!
We were able to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. A HUGE thank you to Jani!! She took all 4 kids!! Overnight for us. Cody ended up getting sick and she had to sit up and hold him most of the night!! We really appreciate her doing this for us!

I am so happy to sit and say that almost 12 yrs ago now I married my best friend!! I love Cash more then anything! With him all my dreams have become a reality. He is so good to me. I love that we can still spend time together and talk and laugh and giggle and be goofy together!! I love you honey!!

Christmas!!

It came and went nearly WAY too fast this year!! I am always so sad when it is over and I have to take down the Christmas stuff.
This year we wanted to purchase only 3 gifts for the kids (because that is what Jesus received from the wise men) well what can I say...I tried
I really did but it was so hard!! Hahaha!! I love CHRISTmas!! I love the meaning of the holiday and spending time as a family!! I love it
This year was so fun! It is always fun but now even Cambree gets into it. Seeing there faces light up. Cody was so excited and he slept all night!! Yeah the best christmas present for me and Cash. Carter on the other hand...sheesh he got up at 3AM!! Cash and I heard him sneak up into Kylee's room announcing that Santa came and what he brought her. I quietly snuck in and scared them both. We made them stay in our room and we all fell back asleep until 7am :)

Our Tradition on Christmas is to wake up and do presents at home. Then we get ready and dressed and head over to G & G Rappleye's house for some yummy breakfast. Then we open presents there. The kids love it because they get to play with their cousins and tell what they got for Christmas!

There we snacked on yummy cookies. Chatted and laughed with family and the kids got to see more cousins. My Camera batteries died so I stole some pics off my sis in law's blog (thnx Kristen)

The day after Christmas we had a fun shin dig with Grammie at Jani's house. Jani (my sis in law) is always the hostest with the mostest. We played minute to win it. I had to shake my rump...haha the kids won. Kylee did a backwalk over and the balls fell right out. Rylee my neice comes in and shakes them out within 3 seconds!!

We also played sniff the cotton ball (it was much harder then it looked)

We played Family Feud and ate yummy pizza. Thanks Jani for being such a wonderful host!! We love you so much. You always make the gatherings so special!! We forgot to take a group picture!!
I love spending time with family! I am so blessed to be surrounded by such love!! I love Christmas! I am so grateful for the meaning of the season and what it brings out in people! If only it stayed like Christmas all year round!!

My New Christmas Tree

Well the ornaments Cash and I purchased as newly weds were getting old. Don't get me wrong they were pretty cute especially considering most of them came from the dollar tree almost 12 years ago!! Wow so long!!
Well this year...i got a Holiday itch. It took a few days to get my tree just like I wanted. Not to mention running to a few different stores and back. I would purchase things and not like them, then go back to the store to return them. So what you see now....Bulbs and snowflakes from Hobby lobby. After running there and back a few times. Bells and word ornaments from Tai Pan, two trips to that store. Then the chunky wooden stars we bought from the wood connection. I had the kids help me paint them, I sanded them to distress them and drilled holes to put in wire to hang them. All in all it was pretty inexpensive and I LOVE IT! Just had to take a picture!!

Cody has such a sweet tooth. If any of the kids drop anything he is sure to find it. The other week he came into my office all blue I had no idea what on earth he had gotten into. The older kids were eating M&M's and Cody snagged himself one!!

Thanksgiving was so fun! I feel so blessed that I have such a great family!! WE first ate dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Rappleye's house! Everyone was able to come except Lindsay and James and Their two cute kids, Michael and Rory! We really missed her!
Between my brother and I we had 7 kids. The kids all had fun seeing their cousins and having a Feast as they call it!

How fun! Grammy Goldie my cute mother in law was able to reserve the church for us to eat Thanksgiving dinner! When we arrived Jani and Todd Tadja and Grammy had the whole place decorated! It was beautiful!

I was so excited to see Cambree sing her songs with her preschool class. She had been singing them all week...well when the day finally came. She got nervous in front of all the other parents and just stood there and sucked her thumb. She was excited when she got to wear her falls face mask at least!

Learning how to say NO

I work 25 hours a week. I get up at 4am 5days a week and work. I have two callings! I drive to and from school 3 TIMES A DAY 5days a week. I do homework..I read with each of my kids every night for 15 min! I drive to gymnastics in Draper twice a week. I have 4 kids under the age of 7! I can handle that...What is hard for me to handle lately is constantly being bombarded by things (favors) for people...I have a really hard time saying no. I see a need and I love to help. Lately though...I have been overwhelming myself. I love everyone I love serving!!

So Pleeeaaassee....If I tell you NO...to babysitting or No to your party invite or No to your volunteer project, please know that I am not being selfish, I am just trying to be the best mom I can for my kids.

I need to learn to say NO! SO NO (hee hee).....I love you all!! :)

We took the chance to take a little trip to Bear Lake with FaMiLy
It was so much fun
My Sis and Bro in law Jani and Todd and their beautiful daughter my neice Tadja and my Mom in law Goldie....It was a fun fun trip. There was one night I wish I took a picture. Cash and I got the kids to bed and we sat outside looking at the night sky.It was so clear you could see the milky way...it was amazing! I love being away from the city for a while in the quiet it reminds me of what is important in life.

We were able to go to Minnetonka Cave and man it was SO Cool Cash stayed back at the cabin with the little ones and I went with Carter and Kylee it was really neat, we will definetly do it again with everyone!

This year for the 4th we did a BBQ at Grandma and Grandpa Rappleye's house. Later that night we did fireworks!!

as you can see Cambree was still a little sick with a cold. I did not get a whole lot of pictures. We had just returned from St. George and I was also still feeling a little under the weather...i felt achy. We still had a fun fun night none the less!

Cambree turned 3!!

I am having a hard time accepting that my baby girl is already 3! It seems like just yesterday she was born. She is spunky, stubborn sweet and just so cute!!
lately when i get upset with her...she starts saying: " I love you mom, I love you mom...she knows she can win my heart...she is so funny!
This year her birthday was on Sunday. We went to church and after church Grandma and Grandpa Rappleye brought her over the cutest birthday cake. We sang to her and she opened her presents.

She got zhu zhu pets, Chixo girls and Astro Boy. Astro Boy is all she wanted!! She loves that movie it's cute. Grandma and Grandpa Rappleye gave her the little pet shop house the night before and I did not get a picture
The Potters stopped by and brought her a cute little pony

That night we did our "annual tradition" we blew up bunches of balloons for her to wake up to the next morning.

The next day we did her Birthday Party! We had a summer splash in the backyard. She is lucky to have a summer birthday!

She got lots of fun presents and they did a fun pinata with Candy it turned out to be such a fun day! Later that night Grammy and Tadjee came to visit and brought Cambree some new cute cute swimsuits! I did not get a picture! I try as hard as I can to make my kids summer as happy, fun and memorable as possible
This week we rode tracks downtown andvisited the Lion House Museum. It was amazing, I have never been. Seeing that amazing house restored to it's original condition makes me want to get a time machine and live back in those days. Before TV,cell phones...just back when life was simple and family was more important than anything! I was so excited,I was able to bring my beautiful neice Tadja along. She is such a help with the kiddoes and just love having her around. She will be going off to college next year...:( We went with my good friends Jen and Brandi between the 3 of us we had 11 Children..The babies are not in this picture!

I am so very fortunate to live in a neighborhood where I can call most of them my closest friends. We have gotten together almost weekly to have bachelor nights or some other night out. There are some days I could not survive without the love and support of these girls! I cannot help it...I need girlie friends.
This weekend we went to Snowbird for a night. The relaxing time was so much fun. We went out to dinner at the porcupine grill.

Each of us brought a gift for everyone. We each brought something that we love..but it had to be cheap. It was fun to think of what to bring. Among the gifts were:
Me-cleaning supplies and a magnet saying "Live Happy" Whitney-flip flopsJanece-picture frames with little saying about each of our personalitiesErin-Bath soap and nail polish, Timette-note pad,calendar and chocolate cookie dough Calah-victoria secret body spray and Reese's pieces.
Afterwards we hung out in the hot-tub on our balcony! We played games, talked and ate alot of yummy snacks! woohoo

The next morning we woke up and had breakfast and spent the day relaxing by the pool. It was fun to getaway...Love you Secret Sisters!!

My Sister came into town. While she was here we went to the zoo. I failed to get pics of her and her kids...Sad Check this out...gross. A Giraffe peed and the other drank it...check out his face. Kylee Graduated from Preschool. She is getting so big...she starts kindergarten in the fall I can hardly believe it!! So beautiful Okay this makes me hurt Carter is such a good big brother! I hate to brag but he is one "Good Lookin" Kid!! Baby Cody is crawling now...forever he did the scoot fall thing now he can crawl on all 4's. He is busy!

Carter was invited to our cute neighbor boy Holden's birthday party. We did not have any superhero costume so I had this brilliant idea. I colored some white face paint from Halloween with green food coloring and yes...made him green. I was a little nervous that the food coloring would not come off but it did. You have to admit he looks awesome!

Carter is now playing Pee Wee Baseball for Herriman. He does great and check out how handsome he is!! Watching his games are so fun!!

Carter had a performance at school. The first graders learned Miley Cyrus Hoedown Throwdown. It was so cute. Here are some pics I took.

Have you ever had that thing in your head...that thing that you always thought "I need to do that" "I need to get started" Well mine was my food storage. I always had an excuse, I don't have room, I don't have money. Well for some reason I finally decided to GET ON IT. Maybe it is because of all the recent talk about earthquakes. Maybe it is because my job is being bought out by another company. In any case, I know it is important to listen and follow the prophet and we have been told for many years now to be prepared. I finally have started my food storage. It is acutally addicting to try and find deals and stock up...it is a new fun for me. Look at how much I have already. Now I can rotate and shop from my storage! Yay for me!

When Cody was first born...I remember my pediatrician saying:
So he does not Barf?....nope he does great
And he poops?...sorry gross I know but Kylee has had problems with Pooping
He does not scream?...nope
He said well great! You have one easy baby!

Well he never slept. Now I realize more then ever how important sleep is. It affects everything. The way I function, the way I work...haha. Even as a newborn the longest period of sleep he did was 2 hours. This went on for 6 months! He would wake up upset and crying. Slowly our little man has been sleeping longer. My girls were sleeping 12 hours straight by now...they spoiled us.

Anyway I am happy to report most nights he only wakes up once or twice. This little guy has had 4 ear infections...not sure why. The Doctor thinks maybe the fluid is just stuck and won't drain. We have a tube consultation on Wed. He will be getting ear tubes. Poor guy, it should help him though ;)

I cannot tell you how totally madly and completely I am in love with him though. It is amazing how much you love each child...just as much as the other! He is so precious and sweet. He has such a twinkle in his little eyes. I just cannot imagine our family without him. He is so fun! He is now moving all over the place and grabbing at everything. And man on man can this little guy eat!

Even though he knows I get to stay at home he lets me sleep. I cannot express to him how greatful I am! I love him so much! I could not be the mom I am without him! Love you Honey!

Yay for Spring and Easter. I love this time of year!
Saturday My Mom and Dad did an Easter Egg hunt for all the grandkids.(except my sis in WA) sad :( My mom had bought a ton of candy and put quarters in the eggs. Cambree kept running around saying " I found sumting" it was SO much fun!

Then of course we had to dye our Easter eggs. The kids always love doing that.

Cambree and my cute Nephew Brady. They are about 6 months apart in age and when together they are a riot.

Easter morning, we actually got to sleep in a bit. It was nice. We had a quiet day at home watching conference. The Easter Bunny came and brought the kids some goodies and hid some eggs. We had a homemade yummy breakfast

That menace Easter Bunny brought Silly String...The kids loved it though

And again the Menace Easter Bunny brought a 2 yr old a chocolate egg....yikes! Haha Cambree enjoyed it! Can you tell?

That evening we went and visited Grammy and gave her some Easter hugs!
Lets not forget the real reason for Easter. This year we have had the opportunity to teach Carter's primary class. It has been so fun, last week we did our Easter lesson and I love that Cash and I get the extra opportunity to share our testimonies of our Savior with him. I am so grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ and that he died for us so we can live again with our Father in Heaven!

Carter had his Birthday on April 5th! He is now 7! Woohoo
I cannot believe that in just one more year my baby boy will be getting baptized. Time goes so fast it really kills me! Carter has always been our little smarty pants. Even as a baby he did everything early. As a toddler he was always asking What? Why? How? He has always wanted to know more. He is now reading chapter books...yes chapter books! Crazy! He can read and comprehend them. He loves to play sports. He is currently playing his first year of Rookie Baseball! (pics to come later) He is out of T-ball now. He is doing great! We are so proud of our little champ. He means so much to us.
For his Birthday we did not do a friend party this year. We usually only do a friend party every other year or for the BIG years! hehe. He was just fine with it.
We wanted to go to the Aqaurium but...because of spring break the place was packed. We decided to try again another day. We came home made him a cool Birthday cake he opened presents, then we went to eat at IHOP yep...because that's how we roll! :)

We suprised Carter with a "bunch" of balloons. Cash and I blew them up and put them in his room while he was sleeping. 45 to be exact! :)

Forgetting Cambree's allergies I let her help bake the cake by cracking the eggs. Ummm not a good plan MOM! Yikes...nothing a little Benadryl couldn't take away..poor Cambree

Among the other gifts. He got new PJ pants, hangers for his closet, undershirts, waterbottle, Disney Cars video Game, Krash and Sonic Game and new shorts. He loved all the gifts he is so cute!

Kylee Turned 5!!

Kylee turned 5 March 21st! Her birthday was on a Sunday this year so we first did our own family thing Sunday....I did not want to get two cakes so instead we had banana bread and all I could find was a #3 candle. She did not care she just wanted to blow out a candle.

Cambree could not quite understand why Kylee was getting so much attention. It was so hard to explain to her. Sad face :(

Since Kylee's birthday was Sunday this year, we had her party set up for Monday. So Sunday night we stayed up after she went to bed..Carter helped and blew up a bunch of balloons. We crept into her room and laid them all over her floor. She was so excited when she woke up.

The next morning after preschool I picked Kylee up for a special birthday treat...getting her ears pierced. She has been begging me and begging me for the last year to get them done. I told her when she turned 5!~ So today was the big day. She was so cute and cried just a little bit

We took a trip to the Hello Kitty store afterwards which brought back her beautiful smile. She loves her earrings and she says she does not regret doing it :)

Later that afternoon we had her Birthday Party! We went to Jumpin Jacks with a few of her closest friends. It turned out great. We are so happy that our little Angel Kylee came into our lives...I cannot believe she is already 5 and starts kindergarten next year! Crazy how fast time goes. Seems like just yesterday I was holding this sweet baby in my arms.The party turned out GREAT! So much fun for the girls to run around and have fun!

So my last post was all thoughts and I need to add some pics Cody has been sitting up really well...he still tips over every now and then but he is getting better. HE HAS TWO TEETH NOW Here is a picture of his smile...he is so precious Cambree Lynn is going potty...we still have some accidents..it has taken her a while to get used to going poops in the potty but she has been doing GREAT! I have been in survival mode for the past 6 months. Cody and well Cambree too still wake up alot at night. Cambree's asthma has really been bad this winter. I think Cash and I have really been tested to the extreme on our patience level! Then to top it off I have to get up and work at 4am, work those same nights until 2am. Some days I will not lie I cry...becuase well it is hard. Then I suck it up drive to Maverick and get me a Mtn Dew. I know it is so bad for me but I really could not survive some days without a little caffiene. I should work out, I know I should do so many things but I figure I will have time for that some day. I am very blessed to have the husband I have and the 4 beautiful children I have.
Yes most days I wish I did not have to work especially these insane hours but you do what you have to do. I am so grateful to have this job that allows me to help provide for our family and still be a full time mom! I will look back at these days and be extra grateful and proud of myself because I did work so hard!
On the days I sit and feel sorry for myself I always try to find the postive. I love that I was taught to always look at the positive side of things. I know this has helped me a ton and will throughout my entire life. I know that people have it way worse then getting up to hold a crying baby for hours or clean up barf from a crying coughing toddler.
Our primary lesson this week we asked the kids to name some blessings we have received from our Heavenly Father. Our kids in our class could not stop naming off the blessings. It really made me stop and think about all that I have to be thankful for. SO MUCH, just look around you. This beautiful earth for one...we could just start there and go on and on about so many things on earth...I have great friends to always offer support and espcially I love my FAMILY! They mean everything to me!! My own family,my extended family!! My adorable Husband who is my rock! I love you honey!
Sorry cheezy post but this is my journal and I write what I feel! ((hugs)) I hope if anything that this post will help inspire anyone else that is going through hard times to know that everyone has trials big or small. We always though have so much to be thankful for and rather then feel like POOR ME...try to look at it through postive eyes.

Cody is 6 months

I don't have much time anymore to blog. I used to do it while working but now work is busier and life is busier so I try my best!
Cody just had his 6 month check up
He now weighs 17lbs 15oz which is exactly how much Cambree weighed at a year. He is already 27" long and Cambree is only 33" he is going to pass her up before I know it. So funny. He is now sitting pretty well...not for too long but he is doing better. He finally sleeps better. Just this week he started taking 2 naps a day for about 2-3 hours sometimes. I love him but man is it nice when he naps and I can finally get housework done. I feel like life is finally getting into order. I am still struggling to find a work schedule that will fit into our new life with 4 little ones. I feel so blessed to get to work from home but some days I find it such a struggle to work...ahh well. You do what you gotta do. He is sleeping about 5 hours a stretch at night. He still wakes up for a middle of the night feeding...not like he needs it. He is probably just used to it. Oh well...We love him so much.
He loves Baths, being sung to, his sisters and brother, he loves being tickled and he is so so sweet.
He has TWO TEETH!! Finally! Little chompers. I will try to get pics of them soon. He just started eating solids really well. He even eats crackers now and loves them.

He was getting pretty tired here...lil sad face.

I should mention that Carter is doing so well at school. We just had his parent teacher conferences and he is already reading at a 2nd grade level. He also already passed off all the words up to the end of the year so his teacher is challenging him with new hard words. He loves that he is ahead...it's funny. He continues to surprise us with the things he knows. We are so proud of him and how hard he works everday and how much he helps around here!

Crazy me!!

I know...you think I am crazy. I cut off all my hair. I always do this, I grow it long then I cut it. Not sure why. I guess I like change. It was getting hard to fix with 4 little ones, it is hard enough to get them ready every day. Also because of the change in hormones it has been falling out...I mean falling out everywhere making me crazy. So I made my cute next door neighbor Whitney chop it off. I MADE her do it. She was scared.( she did go to beauty school) I think she did such a great job..Thanks Whit! I wish we would have taken a pic of all the hair left on her floor...wowza. I figure it is hair and it will always regrow. As for now...I LOVE it. So much easier to fix and I can do fun stuff with it. flip, ringlets, round brush I can even fit it into a pony tail still.

Also this week I bought this hutch on KSL. It was a totally impulsive thing to do. I have been wanting one of these for a while but never found one I liked or could afford. I found this one on KSL for $100. It was a nasty yellow cream color so I painted it black and distressed it. It was a ton of work but I LOVE IT!! I am so proud of myself! I wish I would have taken a before pic but here is the after..don't you just love it? Too bad...it is mine hehehe

Our little Man!!

Cody has started to eat solids but as you can see he wears most of it on his face..Such a cutie. He still is not really liking the idea of solid foods

So this is what happens when you give Cody a big blue present bow to play with. (Jani it was Cash's gift) he played with it on the floor for a while. We did not think anything of it until we saw his 5 o'clock shadow. He is so cute. It was hard to wash off. At least it was non-toxic.

Cody's all time favorite thing is bathtime so he got a fun bath to wash off his beard.

We found out Cody has Silent reflux.
What is silent reflux in infant?
Silent reflux in infants is exactly the same as infant reflux minus the spitting up. When an infant refluxes silently the stomach contents travel up the throat but the infant is able to swallow it back down again before it actually comes out. This means the stomach acid burns on the trip up the throat and on the trip back down. Silent reflux in infants is not as obvious because there is no actual spitting up, which makes it much harder to detect.
I am thankful for google because I was able to figure out what was causing him to scream and arch his back all night. His symptoms started after 3 months so I was stumped. Colic at 3 months and older? It was weird. I kept thinking he was teething. He kept arching his back. Carter did this and Carter had reflux but he spit up all the time so it was obvious. Cody pretty much NEVER spits up. But poor kid was suffering. We have had him on prevacid for a few weeks now, and he is SO MUCH BETTER. He still wakes up alot at night. But no more screaming and arching his back for hours. He is our sweet cuddly boy again. Officially we have survived colic just in an older infant...I am so glad he is feeling better now.

A quiet night away

So I know...It has been years...really years! Since we have left our kids overnight. We have gone on dates together but Cash and I have never gone away...silly us. I decided we were well over due for a night away. Cash had his Birthday so I suprised him with a night away. I am so cheap..I actually booked two different locations and kept changing my mind. I hate to spend that much money for one night, but it was so worth it. It was so amazing. We stayed at the Johnson Mill in Midway. My sis in law stayed there and had so much fun! So did one of my neighbors! (thanks)It was absolutely amazing and perfect. I LOVED it!

I love that Cash and I always put our kids first...some people say that is bad in a relationship but in our I feel like that is what makes everything work. We respect and love eachother. I could not be more grateful for my sweetie. I am so glad I married this man....almost 11 years now! Wow. Thank you Jennifer Johnson for taking the 3 kids it really meant a lot to us. And thanks to my sweet mother in law who took Cody.(she says she got sleep) I missed all my kids so much but Cash and I really needed this to recharge!

A girls night getaway...and Cody too

So my cute next door neighbor Janece invited us up to her parents house in Woodland Hills. We had a girls sleepover...now I know this seems weird. Cash thought I was weird but girls need this!! We need some time to bond and chat and laugh. It was so so so much fun. We went to dinner at the pizza and pasta factory. I have never been before and it was so yummy. It started to snow so we decided we better start heading down there. I forgot diapers...luckily my girls understood and we stopped on the way to get some. Cody screamed in the car...lil stinker but my girls just helped me to stay calm while driving through STAR WARS!! Haha It was snowing so hard. We made it safe and sound. Let me just tell you, Janece's parents house was like a resort. It was beautiful. My dream mtn home. It was completely surrounded by big trees and so peaceful and quiet. It has a large rap around deck with a priceless view. I loved it! When you first walk in, you see beautiful wooden beams on the ceiling and hardwood floors. It was SO nice!! Anyway, we stayed up late laughing and talking and eating yummy snacks. There was a hot tub with twinkling lights. I was the only one who dared jump into the snow...which was hard snow ouchie. I did not know. Hahahaha. Janece even made each of us our own warm rice bag, with our initals sewn on to each of them. We warmed them up in the morning to keep our toes toasty! Cody slept better then he has in months. (he needed a getaway too) I had the back bedroom so he would not wake the others and he did great. Janece's mom made us a delicious breakfast the next morning. I so needed this night. Thank you to my momma for taking the other kids. It was so fun, and I cannot wait to do it again. I love my neighbors!! YA YA!!

DO WE HAVE A PLUMBER IN THE HOUSE? So I went upstairs the other morning to take a quick shower and when I arrived back down stairs to my surprise this is what I found.(the older kids had helped her get a bowl of cereal) Well is it any surprise..it is Cambree we are talking about. She loves to take off her clothes now...diaper and all. I remember all my kids doing that! Ahh the fun age of 2. Now if only I had the energy and motivation to get her potty trained...I really need to! Oh Cambree!!! How you make us laugh and give me gray hairs...ahhh or perhaps pull out my hairs. I love her Cody asleep Okay this is HUGE...STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING!! CODY IS SLEEPING! hahaha. He was doing tummy time the other day and got tired. He never sleeps for us so I had to capture the moment on camera. Kylee can do a back walk over...well sort of Her poor little head

She loves loves doing gymnastics. I am so happy she loves it. I love watching her confidence soar as she learns new tricks.

Too much...too little

WOW So much is happening and I have too little time to post it. Let start from the beginning Kylee had her first Gymnastics performance. She has been going to Jolley's Gymnastics in Draper since August. She can already do Cartwheels which most people have seen, she does them everywhere now. She can even do them with one arm. She can do an archup kickover, she is working on her back walk over and she can do round offs now. Her splits are almost to the ground. It amazes me what she has accomplished in just a few short months. This place is the best. Kylee has found her niche. She loves it and she is so good at it.
This video is of the older girls a few classes above Kylee, They had them come in and show us...WOW this was just a tiny part of their routine. These are 2nd and 3rd graders. They came out doing Back tucks back handsprings, ariels...wow! If Kylee sticks with it, she will be doing some amazing things by the time she is 8~!
Cody is getting very big. He has just started giggling.
I just took him for his 4 month check up on 12/31/09 he is now 15lbs..wow! he is growing big. He unfortunately has another ear infection..poor little guy. Still no teeth even though I can see they are coming.

We just love this little man. I cannot imagine our family without him now. Even though he still sleeps terribly...he is such a sweetie and ooooh just so so cute. He is always smiling and of course already talking up a storm with his little sounds.

Cambree...well she is just Cambree. She has asthma...officially diagnosed now. Even though we already pretty much knew she had it. We are testing her for allergies hopefully in the next year. We can maybe find out more of what she is allergic to. She is really starting to love Cody, although she still likes to be the baby! I have to remind her daily that she is still my baby girl

Carter is well Carter...haha. He is growing too fast too. Every day he reads more and more. Pretty much can read anything now and can do math...he just amazes me with how much he can retain in his brain. I don't know how I would get through some days without his help. He is such a big help around here!
He is such a crackup. He loves being a goofball and loves loves his baby brother and making him laugh

Christmas eve the kids all got new jammies!

Christmas was fun this year! Santa came!! Carter got a scooter and a transformer, Kylee got a HUGE doll house (for both girls to share), Cambree got a tricyle, Cody got a new toy. They were all spoiled.

I am so grateful for 2009 and all the blessings we have been given. I am grateful for Christmas time and the chance we get to give and reflect on our Savior and redeemer Jesus Christ. I love the nativity and getting the chance to really explain to the kids about Jesus Birth! I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and Happy New year.
For new years..yea...we went to bed at 9pm. Hehehe. May the new year bring us some extra sleep!
